Healthcare Management Solutions has created a special VE Day video with residents in its homes across the UK joining together in a rousing chorus of Vera Lynn’s wartime classic, We’ll Meet Again.
Created in lieu of the all-singing-all-dancing community-based events care homes would have been hosting on 8 May, the video has provided a way for residents at many of the company’s homes to stay connected with each other and their communities and send the poignant message to their loved ones.
Lynn Fearn, managing director of Healthcare Management Solutions, who made a cameo appearance in the video, said: “While the majority of care homes everywhere will still be having a celebration for residents on 8 May, we wanted to send a clear message to the loved ones of our residents, and our communities everywhere. We will meet again.
“These are challenging times, so it’s more important than ever that we all channel the spirit of our parents and grandparents, taking inspiration from those who lived through World War Two.”
