Healthcare Management Solutions is proud to announce a brand new partnership with Oomph! Wellness designed to enhance the activity and wellbeing programmes at all of the care homes we manage.
Twelve months ago, the care homes in our portfolio were bustling with entertainers, fitness professionals, intergenerational groups and community organisations. A year on, the landscape is very different and the COVID-19 pandemic has placed these activities on hold. The activity teams at each of the homes we manage have embraced technology to ensure that their residents remain active, entertained and in touch virtually instead.
Following the first lockdown in 2020, the team at Oomph! Wellness, the UK’s leading wellbeing business for older adults, launched their online digital wellbeing platform Oomph On Demand. This was in answer to the increased appetite for virtual activities for care home residents.
Our partnership with Oomph! has seen the platform rolled out across the care homes we currently manage in the United Kingdom. Our residents and care teams now have an extensive library of digital wellbeing content at their fingertips. All of which is specifically designed to enhance the mind, body and soul of care home residents.
Following virtual training with the Oomph On Demand team, the activity staff at all of our homes have access to an abundance of resources and planning tools for their activity programmes.
Activities at Any Time on Any Device
Accessible from any WiFi-enabled device our teams can also use the platform on large smart TVs to host group activities. In addition, residents can access Oomph On Demand during one-to-one sessions via each homes’ activity tablet or on their own devices at their leisure.
With everything from interactive quizzes and puzzles to performances from entertainers, virtual escapes to live-streamed exercise classes, we’re confident that our residents will find plenty to enjoy.
